Jakarta (B2B) - Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) memberi apresiasi terhadap Kejaksaan Agung yang telah mengeksekusi Bupati Aru, Maluku, Teddy Tengko. Namun ICW mencatat sekitar 56 terpidana korupsi dari tahun 2002 hingga 2013 yang sudah diputus inkracht, belum dieksekusi oleh Kejaksaan Agung.
Koordinator Bidang Hukum dan Peradilan ICW Emerson Yuntho mengatakan dari 56 terpidana, sebanyak 23 orang terpidana korupsi, sebanyak 23 orang gagal dieksekusi karena melarikan dan masuk dalam status Daftar Pencarian Orang (DPO), 33 terpidana belum dieksekusi lantaran sejumlah alasan antara lain sakit, mangkir dari panggilan jaksa, kondisi ekonomi, keamanan, dan dalih lainnya.
"Eksekusi Teddy Tengko perlu diapresiasi, tapi masih banyak pekerjaan rumah lain yang perlu dieksekusi Kejagung," kata Emerson Yuntho di Jakarta, Jumat (31/5).
Emerson juga mengingatkan kepada Menteri Dalam Negeri untuk merespon juga sikap positif Kejaksaan Agung dengan mencabut SK Bupati Teddy. Tujuannya untuk memberikan kepastian dan keamanan pemerintahan di Aru.

"Execution Tengko Teddy needs to be appreciated, but there are many other chores that need to be executes Attorney General," said Emerson Yuntho in Jakarta, Friday (31/5).
Emerson also reminded the Interior Minister to respond to the Attorney General´s Office is also a positive attitude to repeal decree Teddy Tengko. The goal is to provide certainty and security governance in Aru.
