Jakarta (B2B) - Deputi Bidang Statistik Distribusi dan Jasa Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Sasmito Hadi Wibowo memperkirakan inflasi Desember 2013 akan berada di kisaran 0,5%, jauh di atas inflasi November sebesar 0,12%. Pasalnya pada Desember ada faktor musiman, yaitu Natal dan tahun baru.
"Inflasi bulan November-Desember cenderung meningkat, kecuali ada intervensi khusus dari pemerintah," kata Sasmito Hadi.
Dia menambahkan, pada November inflasi relatif rendah, karena ada intervensi cukup besar yang dilakukan pemerintah seperti menjaga pasokan bahan bakar minyak, pelemahan nilai tukar dan tingkat suku bunga.
Jakarta (B2B) - Sasmito Hadi Wibowo, Deputy of Distribution and Service Statistics at the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) estimates inflation by December 2013 to stand at 0.5 percent, far above November’s inflation of 0.12 percent. This is due to the seasonal factors of Christmas and New Year in December.
"Inflation in November-December tends to rise, unless there is special intervention from the government," Sasmito Hadi said.
He added, in November, inflation is relatively low since there were quite significant attempts from the government including maintaining fuel oil supplies, anticipating plummeting rupiah exchange rate and increasing interest rate.
