Jakarta (B2B) - It is estimated that 2013 inflation will only rise 0.3 percentage points if subsidized fuel oil price is raised by Rp500 per liter.

Director of Economic Research and Monetary Policy Directorate of Bank Indonesia (BI) Perry Warjiyo, said such amount is added if there is no supporting policy which reduces inflation.

Bank Indonesia has long calculated that fuel price will affect slightly if raised by Rp 500 to Rp 1,000 per liter.

"However, the central bank has not calculated how big the effect of fuel price hike towards inflation if there is supporting policy like compensation funds," he said.
