Jakarta (B2B) - Meskipun sampai saat ini, Presiden terpilih Joko Widodo belum menentukan nama-nama yang akan masuk kabinetnya. Namun Jokowi menyodorkan kriteria utama dalam memilih menterinya, salah satunya kemampuan pemasaran (marketing).
Menurut Jokowi, alasan memilih menterinya menguasai ilmu pemasaran, karena dia ingin menteri-menterinya dapat memasarkan program-program di tiap kementeriannya dengan baik.
"Sekarang memang era nya bukan produk sentris lagi, bukan terpaku pada costumer sentris lagi. Tapi negara ini masih memerlukan marketing yang memasarkan produk negara secepat-cepatnya. Sekuat tenaga," kata Jokowi saat peluncuran lagu "Indonesia WOW!" di kantor RRI, Jakarta, Senin.
"Oleh sebab itu, menteri yang akan datang akan banyak dari orang marketing," sambung dia.
Menurut Jokowi, jika kementeriannya dipimpin orang yang tidak mempunyai pemahaman ilmu pemasaran, program pemerintahan Jokowi-JK sebagus apa pun tidak akan berjalan dan tersosialisasi dengan baik.
"Percuma punya produk bagus, tapi nggak bisa dijual, nggak ngerti marketing sebuah produk. Makanya nanti saya tanya Pak Hermawan (pakar Marketing). Jago marketingnya siapa sih?" ucap dia.
Jakarta (B2B) - Indonesian President-elect Joko Widodo has said that his upcoming cabinet would be filled with ministers who have marketing capability.
At the launch of "Indonesia Wow" song here on Monday Jokowi as the current Jakarta governor is also popularly called said it was not impossible that the next ministerial posts would be filled by persons with marketing background.
"More people from marketing background would be in the cabinet later," he said.
He said Indonesia has a lot of good resources but they have not yet been marketed well so far, including creative industrial products such as films, performance shows, music, dances, animation, batik and others.
Indonesian products still needed more and quick marketing, he said.
Jokowi who is a former furniture exporter said efforts must not be product-centered but customer-centered as "it is useless to have good products unless they are not marketed well."
He said the upcoming ministers must not only be good at marketing corporate products but also products that reach customers and the community.
"They must be able to market products human-centeredly and give customers a role to play to promote the country," he said.
