Jakarta (B2B) - Arif Yahya ditunjuk Presiden Joko Widodo sebagai menteri pariwisata pada 'Kabinet Kerja' menggantikan Marie E Pangestu di era pemerintahan Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Arif Yahya saat ini menjabat direktur utama PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia sejak Mei 2012, yang berhasil mengembangkan bisnis Telkom dan anak perusahaannya terus berkembang hingga ke mancanegara.

Pada 2012, Telkom (PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk) dengan anak perusahaannya PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin), mengembangkan bisnisnya ke Timor Leste, dan Telin juga mengembangkan sayap ke Australia.

Pria kelahiran Banyuwangi 2 April 1961 ini memulai karier di PT Telkom setelah lulus dari Insitut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) dan berhasil menjadi salah satu karyawan Telkom yang terpilih untuk mengikuti program master telematika di Surrey University, Inggris.

Arief masuk daftar '25 Business Future Leader' versi majalah Swa pada 2012. Ia juga terpilih sebagai penerima Economic Challenge Award 2012 kategori industri telekomunikasi, penerima Anugerah Business Review 2012 dari majalah Business Review dan CEO BUMN Inovatif Terbaik 2012.

Pada 2013, Arief Yahya meraih penghargaan 'Marketeer of the Year' 2013 atas perannya dalam dunia pemasaran.

Jakarta (B2B) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo has named Arif Yahya as the tourism minister in the 'Work Cabinet' to replaces Marie E Pangestu  in the era of President Yudhoyono.

Yahya is currently president director of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia since May 2012, which successfully developed Telkom business and its subsidiaries to foreign countries.

In 2012, Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk with its subsidiary PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin), expand their business in East Timor, and Telin also expanding into Australia.

Yahya who was born in Banyuwangi district, East Java province on 2 April 1961, began his career at Telkom, after graduated at the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) and successfully become one of Telkom employees who elected to follow the telematics master's program in Surrey University, UK.

Yahya entered the list of '25 Business Future Leader' by Swa magazine in 2012. He was also selected as the recipient of the Economic Challenge Award 2012 category of the telecommunications industry, the recipient Business Review 2012 of the Business Review magazine and CEO of SOE's best in 2012.

In 2013, Arief Yahya won the 'Marketeer of the Year' in 2013 for his role in the marketing world.
