Jakarta (B2B) - Rapat Pimpinan Nasional (Rapimnas) Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) akhirnya memutuskan untuk berkoalisi mengusung Prabowo Subianto sebagai calon Presiden.
"Akhirnya hari ini, tanggal 12 Mei 2014 pada pukul 02.00 dini hari, secara resmi Rapimnas II PPP telah menetapkan secara bulat dan aklamasi mendukung Haji Prabowo Subianto sebagai Calon Presiden," kata Ketua Umum PPP Suryadharma Ali seusai rapimnas di Jakarta, Senin (12/5) dini hari.
Dalam rapimnas II PPP, sebelumnya muncul tiga opsi, pertama opsi mendukung Prabowo, kedua mendukung Joko Widodo (Jokowi), dan ketiga berkoalisi dengan Aburizal Bakrie dan menempatkan Wakil Ketua Umum PPP Lukman Hakim Saefuddin menjadi calon wakil presiden.
Rapimnas ini digelar oleh partai berlambang Ka'bah tersebut guna memutuskan arah koalisi sejak Sabtu (10/5) sore. Rapat sempat diskors pada Ahad dini hari dan baru dilanjutkan kembali pada Ahad malam.
Jakarta (B2B) - The United Development Party (PPP) through the national leadership meeting has finally decided to support the presidential aspirant from the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), Prabowo Subianto.
"Finally, at the end of our meeting at 2 a.m., on Monday, we officially decided to support Prabowo Subianto as the presidential candidate in the July 9, 2014 presidential election," stated PPP Chairman, Suryadharma Ali.
He noted that there were three options at the start of the meeting on Saturday: Prabowo, Joko "Jokowi" Widodo of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), and Aburizal Bakrie of the Golkar party with PPP Deputy Chairman Lukman Hakim Saefuddin as Aburizals running mate.
But, the meeting, which was held on Saturday and lasted till early Monday morning, to determine the direction of its coalition finally decided to coalesce with Prabowo.
