Jakarta (B2B) - Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta akan menerapkan aturan program Jam Wajib Belajar bagi pelajar SD hingga SMA mulai hari Senin sampai Jumat, sejak pukul 18:30 atau setelah azan Maghrib. Kebijakan tersebut akan dikoordinasikan dengan orang tua murid, komite sekolah, dan pihak sekolah.
Gubernur DKI Jakarta, Joko Widodo mengaku prihatin dengan perilaku anak-anak di Jakarta khususnya pelajar SD sampai SMA yang masih berkeliaran di malam hari, semestinya waktu di malam hari digunakan untuk belajar.
“Mulai pukul 18.30 harus belajar. Tapi aturan ini masih dalam proses. Wajib belajar maksudnya jangan jalan-jalan atau ke mal. Ini masih dibicarakan oleh orang tua murid, komite sekolah, sekolah-sekolah, belum (hasilnya),” kata gubernur yang akrab dipanggil Jokowi di Balai Kota Jakarta, Jumat (13/9).
Mantan walikota Solo ini menambahkan, peraturan Jam Wajib Belajar tersebut tidak berlaku bagi mahasiswa, karena mereka tergolong mampu bertanggung jawab kepada dirinya sendiri.
"Tidak ada masalah bagi mahasiswa, aturan ini berlaku bagi pelajar SD sampai SMA karena tugas utama mereka adalah belajar," ungkap Jokowi.

"Starting at 18.30 should learning. But this rule is still in process. This rule is means, the students do not hang out like going to the mall. It is still to be discuss with parents, school committees, schools," said the governor is fondly called Jokowi in Jakarta City Hall, Friday (13/9).
Former mayor of Solo said the compulsory hour rule does not apply to college students, because they are classified as able to be responsible to themselves.
"There is no problem for college students, this rule applies to elementary through high school students because their main task is learning," said Jokowi.
