Jakarta (B2B) - Figur calon presiden yang sering tampil melalui iklan di media massa belum tentu memiliki karya nyata dan rekam jejak yang baik. Sebaliknya, sosok yang memiliki karya nyata dan rekam jejak baik belum tentu sering tampil melalui iklan di media massa. Rakyat sebagai pemilih harus selektif dan mengenali sosok calon presiden, bukan atas dasar iklan di media massa.
"Masyarakat agar tidak memilih calon presiden karena iklan. Iklan hanya pesan gambar, bukan karya nyata," kata Hayono Isman, peserta Konvensi Calon Presiden dari Partai Demokrat pada silaturahim Fraksi Partai Demokrat DPR di Jakarta, Kamis malam (21/11).
Hayono mengingatkan kader Partai Demokrat dan rakyat untuk memilih calon presiden berdasarkan rekam jejak dan karya nyatanya, bukan atas dasar iklan di media massa.
Dia menambahkan, selama hampir dua bulan mengikuti konvensi Partai Demokrat, sudah melakukan sosialisasi visi dan misina ke sejumlah daerah di Indonesia.
"Saya banyak belajar bagaimana membangun komunikasi dengan masyarakat, selama melakukan sosialisasi ke berbagai daerah tersebut," ungkap anggota dewan pembina Partai Demokrat.
Menurutnya, untuk menaikkan popularitas dan elektabilitas, para peserta konvensi tidak perlu hanya melakukan komunikasi di internal partai, tapi harus membangun komunikasi yang seluas-luasnya di masyarakat.
Peserta konvensi calon presiden dari partai Demokrat, kata dia, harus berani membuka diri terhadap semua elemen masyarakat sekaligus siap menghadapi sorotan dan kritikan, hingga mengenai kehidupan pribadinya.
