Jakarta (B2B) - Maraknya penemuan daging sapi olahan bakso yang dioplos dengan daging babi akhirnya membuat Eka Prasetya (EP) berstatus sebagai tersangka. Penetapan status terhadap EP dilakukan setelah diadakan pemeriksaan 6 saksi oleh kepolisian
"Kejahatan tersangka adalah mengoplos bahan dasar bakso berupa ayam dan sapi yang dicampur dengan daging babi," ujar Kasatreskrim Polres Metro Jakarta Selatan AKBP Hermawan di Jakarta, Jumat (14/12).
Saat ini tersangka menjadi tersangka tunggal. Ia ditahan di Polres Metro Jakarta Selatan. Polisi menjeratnya dengan Pasal 62 ayat 1 juncto Pasal 7 dan Pasal 8 huruf a UU No 8 tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen juncto pasal 26 dan 27 Perda DKI No 8 tahun 1989 tentang Pemotongan Daging Ternak.
"Ancamannya yang UU Perlindungan Konsumen 5 tahun penjara dan denda Rp2 milyar," jelas Hermawan.

“The crime is mixing pork, chicken, and beef into meatball dough,” said AKBP Hermawan, Kasatreskrim of South Jakarta Police Station in Jakarta on Friday (14/12).
Currently he is the sole suspect. He is detained in South Jakarta Metro Police Station. He is ensnared with Section 62 Article 1 juncto Section 7 and Section 8 point a Law No 8 year 1999 on consumer protection juncto Section 26 and 27 DKI Regulation No 8 year 1989 on cattle slaughter.
“In the law on consumer protection, the punishment is 5-year imprisonment and fine amounted to Rp 2 billion,” said Hermawan.
