Jakarta (B2B) - Depresiasi nilai tukar rupiah akan menekan kinerja emiten Indonesia yang memiliki utang dalam bentuk dolar Amerika Serikat (AS).
Kepala Riset PT Bahana Securities, Harry Su mengatakan selain berdampak kepada emiten yang memiliki utang dolar, secara keseluruhan pelemahan rupiah dapat mengikis earnings per share (EPS) atau laba bersih per saham.
"Setiap 1% depresiasi rupiah dapat mengikis EPS pasar sebesar 1,1%. Saham yang terkena dampak besar seperti PT Indosat Tbk yang memiliki utang besar. Jadi setiap pelemahan 1% rupiah, maka berpengaruh net profit Indosat sebesar 17,9%," kata Harry.
Jakarta (B2B) - The depreciation of rupiah will put a strain on the performances of Indonesian issuers that have US-dollar denominated debts.
Head of Research at PT Bahana Securities, Harry Su said in addition to the impact it has on issuers with US-dollar debts, the overall weakening of rupiah may erode earnings per share (EPS).
"One percent depreciation of the rupiah can erode the market’s EPS by 1.1 percent. Shares of PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) may be highly affected as the company has large debts. So, for one percent weakening of the rupiah, Indosat’s would be affected by 17.9 percent," said Su.
