Jakarta (B2B) - Menteri Keuangan Chatib Basri menyatakan optimistis inflasi di 2014 lebih mudah dikelola (manageable) dan berpotensi lebih rendah di bandingkan 2013.
"Harga pangan di 2014 lebih stabil, sehingga inflasi hingga akhir tahun diprediksi hanya di kisaran 5,5%," kata Chatib Basri di Jakarta.
Menurutnya, tekanan inflasi dari sisi volatile food pada tahun ini lebih rendah, karena telah dihapusnya kebijakan kuota impor bahan pangan holtikultura yang diterapkan pada 2013.
"Selain itu, gangguan cuaca yang tengah terjadi saat ini tidak banyak mempengaruhi produksi pangan di daerah produsen pertanian," tambah Chatib.
Jakarta (B2B) - Chatib Basri, the Minister of Finance stated is optimistic that 2014´s inflation is more manageable and is potentially lower than 2013.
"Food price in 2014 is more stable, hence inflation by year-end is predicted to only reach 5.5 percent," Chatib Basri said in here.
Basri said inflation pressure in terms of volatile food price this year is lower as the policy on quota of imported horticulture foodstuffs has been revoked in 2013.
In addition, current weather issues so far do not hamper food production in several agriculture producer areas.
