DPR Minta Pemerintah Bangun Sentral Produksi Daging Sapi

Jakarta (B2B) - Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR) meminta pemerintah membangun sentral produksi daging sapi di beberapa daerah, untuk mendukung pencapaian swasembada daging pada 2014 dan mempermudah distribusi sehingga harga daging sapi menjadi terjangkau.
Anggota Komisi IV DPR, Viva Yoga menilai mahalnya harga daging saat ini dikarenakan faktor distribusi yang mahal sehingga mendongkrak harga daging di sejumlah daerah. Pemerintah seharusnya melakukan sensus sapi lokal yang akurat, sehingga dapat mengetahui jumlah konsumsi dan jumlah sapi dalam negeri menjadi data yang lebih akurat.
Menurut Viva, kendala tersebut dapat diatasi dengan membangun sentral produksi di titik-titik regional seperti Sumatera, Jawa Barat, Sulawesi dan juga kawasan lainnya.
"Sentral produksi harus mendekati konsumen dari sisi itu diupayakan bisa mempercepat proses swasembada harga daging sapi yang rendah, kan sekarang harga daging sangat tinggi dan luar biasa," kata Viva Yoga.
Dia menambahkan, pemerintah harus melakukan sensus sapi lokal yang akurat sehingga dapat mengetahui jumlah konsumsi dan jumlah sapi dalam negeri agar datanya lebih akurat.
"Banyak populasi sapi yang tidak dirujuk pada program swasembada atau peternakan pribadi milik peternak," ucapnya.
