Jakarta (B2B) - Kabar tentang ditangkapnya Akil Mochtar, Ketua Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) oleh Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) dibenarkan oleh mantan Ketua MK, Mahfud MD.
Mahfud MD membenarkan bahwa AM yang disebut oleh Juru Bicara KPK, Johan Budi adalah politisi Partai Golkar yang menggantikan dirinya sebagai Ketua MK.
"Ya memang benar yang ditangkap itu Pak Akil Mochtar," kata Mahfud dalam wawancara dengan sebuah televisi berita Rabu malam (2/10).
Menurut Mahfud, kabar bahwa AM ditangkap KPK oleh KPK pada pukul 21:00 WIB setelah menghubungi Sekretaris Jenderal MK, Janedjri M Ghaffar.
"Saya langsung telepon Pak Sekjen (MK). Saya tanya ada peristiwa apa di MK sekarang. Kata Pak Sekjen tidak ada apa-apa. Kantor MK sudah sepi," cerita Mahfud. Mahfud pun meminta Janedjri mencari keberadaan AM. Kepada Djanedjri dia mengatakan mendapat informasi bahwa Akil ditangkap KPK.
Djanedjri pun lantas melaksanakan perintah mantan bosnya di MK untuk menghubungi ajudan AM. "Lima menit kemudian Pak Djanedjri telepon saya lagi dengan meraung-raung. Dia membenarkan pak Akil ditangkap KPK," ujarnya.

Mahfud also asked Janedjri looking for information about AM. To Djanedjri, Mahfud said received information that Mochtar was arrested by the KPK.
Djanedjri was then carried out the orders of his former boss in Constitutional Court to contact aide AM. "Five minutes then Mr. Djanedjri called me again with blaring. He then confirmed that Mochtar was arrested by KPK," he said.
