Jakarta (B2B) - State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Minister Dahlan Iskan hopes the SOE is separated from state budget, given the SOE’s debt is not paid by the state.
It was delivered in line with the proposed revision of Law No.17/2003 on State Assets which still includes SOE assets. According to Dahlan, the regulation is not fair.
"To be fair, if the SOE finance is included in the country´s finance, the SOE debt should be also considered as the country´s debt. Then as now, where the SOE debt borne alone, the finance should be the SOE own finance," he said, Friday (7/26).
As the government’s representative with majority ownership in SOEs, Dahlan supported the revision plan. "I as the SOE Minister, will support the separation of SOE’s finance from the state," he said.
