Jakarta (B2B) - Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta menyediakan fasilitas internet gratis bagi penghuni Kampung Deret di Kelurahan Petogogan, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan, yang pembangunannya saat ini hampir rampung.
"Jaringan Wi-Fi sudah mulai dipasang untuk kampung deret Petogogan agar warga bisa mengakses internet secara gratis," ungkap Syamsuddin Noor, Walikota Jakarta Selatan, Senin (17/3).
Dengan adanya akses internet gratis ini, kata Syamsuddin Noor, diharapkan warga sekitar bisa lebih sadar teknologi. Bukan hanya itu, informasi-informasi serta ilmu pengetahuan juga bisa didapat warga dengan mudah. "Mereka harus sadar teknologi. Dengan internet seluruh informasi dan ilmu pengetahuan bisa didapat warga dengan mudah," ucapnya
Kepala Seksi Humas Suku Dinas Komunikasi Informatika dan Kehumasan Jakarta Selatan Kristianto mengatakan, untuk pemasangan fasilitas internet gratis, Pemkot Jaksel bekerja sama dengan PT Telkom.
"Ini program CSR dari Telkom. Rencananya, akan dipasang di beberapa kampung deret lainnya seperti Gandaria Selatan dan Pasar Minggu," ungkapnya.
Untuk Petogogan, lanjutnya, sudah terpasang tiga tiang untuk pemancar jaringan internet nirkabel ini. "Sudah ada tiga tiang yang bisa menjangkau seluruh warga. Tinggal nanti diprogram dan warga juga harus memiliki perangkat komputernya," tandas Kristianto.
Bisri, salah satu warga RW 05 menyambut baik adanya fasilitas internet gratis ini.
"Ya, bagus dong karena kita bisa nikmati internet gratis, sehingga anak-anak bisa dapat ilmu pengetahuan dengan cepat, dan juga yang penting kampung kita sudah setara sama komplek perumahan mewah," katanya bangga.
Kampung deret di Petogogan mencakup RW 03 dan RW 05. Terdapat 123 unit rumah yang masuk program pembenahan, di mana setiap rumah mendapatkan dana sebesar Rp54 juta.

“Wi-Fi connection has been set for Petogogan row village residents, so they can access internet freely. Free internet connection can raise technology awareness on the residents, and they can also easily obtained information and knowledge,” stated South Jakarta Mayor, Syamsuddin Noor, Monday (3/17).
Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations Section for South Jakarta Communication, Informatics and Public Relations Department, Kristianto, explained that the installation of this free internet facility thanks to South Jakarta City Government cooperation with PT Telkom. “This is a CSR program from PT Telkom. We are planning to set it as well in other row villages, such as in Gandaria Selatan and Pasar Minggu,” he uttered.
For Petogogan, Kristianto continued, there have been three poles installed to the transmitter’s wireless internet network. “There have been three poles that could cover residents’ needs on internet connection. We just need to set it up. But, the residents must have computer devices,” he told.
Bisri, RW 05 resident, welcomes this free internet facility. “Of course it’s good, because we can enjoy free internet facility and our children can get information quickly. And what is more important is that we are already equal with the luxurious housing complex,” he said proudly.
For information, row village in Petogogan includes RW 03 and RW 05. There are 123 houses renovated, in which each house gets Rp 54 million.
