Jakarta (B2B) - Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) hari ini, Jumat (19/4) secara resmi menetapkan Maria Elizabeth Liman sebagai tersangka dalam perkara dugaan suap pengurusan kuota impor daging sapi di Kementerian Pertanian.
KPK menduga bahwa Direktur Utama PT Indoguna Utama ini melanggar Pasal 5 ayat 1 huruf a atau huruf b atau Pasal 13 Undang-undang nomor 31 tahun 1999 sebagaimana diubah undang-undang Nomor 20 tahun 2001 jo Pasal 55 ayat 1 ke 1 KUHP.
Menyikapi hal itu, Maria menolak keputusan KPK yang menetapkan dirinya sebagai tersangka. Maria melalui kuasa hukumnya, Deny Kailimang, mengaku tidak mengetahui adanya upaya penyuapan dari perusahaannya untuk mendapat tambahan kuota impor daging sapi.
"Ibu Maria tidak dapat menerima penetapan tersangka oleh KPK, karena dia menganggap dirinya tidak bersalah," kata Denny Kailimang ketika dihubungi, Jumat (19/4).
Deny menjelaskan, pertemuan kliennya dengan Menteri Pertanian Suswono, dan mantan Presiden PKS, Luthfi Hasan Ishaaq di Medan, merupakan inisiatif mantan Ketua Umum Dewan Benih Indonesia, Elda Deviane Adhiningrat dan Ahmad Fathanah.
"Bu Maria kan punya niat baik. Harga sapi kan naik terus. Buktinya sekarang pemerintah buka keran impor, berarti masukan-masukannya diterima," lanjut dia.
Jakarta (B2B) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today, Friday (19/4) officially declared Mary Elizabeth Liman as a suspect in a case of alleged bribery beef import quota administration in the Ministry of Agriculture.
KPK suspect that the President Director of PT Indoguna this violated Article 5, paragraph 1, letter a, or b or Article 13 of Law No. 31 of 1999 as amended by Act No. 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code.
In response, the KPK decision refusing Mary established herself as a suspect. Maria through their attorneys, Deny Kailimang, said she did not know of any bribery attempt of the company, to get additional quota beef imports.
"Mrs. Maria can not accept the determination of the suspect by the KPK, because he considers herself innocent," said Denny Kailimang when contacted on Friday (19/4).
Deny explained that his client meeting with the Minister of Agriculture Suswono, and former PKS president, Lutfi Hasan Ishaaq in Medan, an initiative of the former Chairman of the Board Seed Indonesia, Elda Deviane Adhiningrat and Ahmad Fathanah.
"Mrs. Maria´s got good intentions. Prices cow continues to rise. The proof, now the government open the import, meaning their inputs received," he continued.
