Jakarta (B2B) - PT Astra Honda Motor, agen tunggal pemegang merek sepeda motor Honda, membukukan angka penjualan motor sport meningkat 172% pada April 2013 menjadi 31.209 unit dibanding pencapaian bulan yang sama tahun lalu sebanyak 11.476 unit.

Deputy General Manager Astra Honda Motor (AHM) Thomas Wijaya mengatakan pertumbuhan penjualan motor sport Honda ditopang oleh penjualan model terbaru yaitu Honda CB150R StreetFire mencapai 12.866 unit dan Honda Verza 150 sebanyak 10.295 unit.

"Sedangkan sisa penjualan motor sport Honda disumbangkan oleh model Honda MegaPro mencapai 5.760 unit, Honda Tiger 1.147 unit, dan Honda CBR series sebanyak 1.200 unit," katanya di Jakarta, Minggu (12/5/2013).

Menurutnya, respon positif dari masyarakat terhadap model sport Honda tersebut dapat mendorong kuat AHM dalam mencapai target pangsa pasar motor sport yang sebelumnya diproyeksikan sekitar 30%-40%.

Apalagi berdasarkan data Asosiasi Industri Sepeda Motor Indonesia (AISI), pertumbuhan penjualan motor sport AHM jauh melampaui pertumbuhan penjualan nasional untuk segmen jenis motor yang sama pada bulan lalu hanya tumbuh 51,3% dari pencapaian April 2012.

Adapun AHM sendiri menguasai 35% dari total penjualan kendaraan roda dua tipe sport nasional tersebut pada bulan lalu tercatat sebanyak 90.407 unit unit.

Secara nasional, menurutnya, penjualan sepeda motor pada Apri 2013 mengalami pertumbuhan yang relatif tipis hanya 6% dari pencapaian penjualan periode yang sama tahun lalu sebanyak 622.929 unit menjadi 660.509 unit.

Sementara itu penjualan seluruh modal Honda pada April 2013 mencapai 391.991 unit, yang mengalami pertumbuhan 13,8% di atas pencapaian penjualan bulan yang sama tahun lalu sebesar 344.349 unit, sehingga AHM tetap memimpin pasar nasional dengan market share 59,3%.

Thomas juga mengungkapkan Honda masih merajai penjualan sepeda motor, mulai dari segmen skutik berhasil membukukan penjualan 287.278 unit sehingga menguasai pangsa pasar sebesar 67,4%.

Angka penjualan tersebut merupakan kontribusi dari penjualan Honda BeAT series terjual 161.586 unit, Honda Vario series 104.329 unit, Honda Scoopy 15.272 unit, Honda Spacy 6.057 unit, dan 34 unit skutik premium Honda PCX150.

Untuk segmen motor bebek, lanjutnya, posisi Honda semakin kokoh sebagai raja bebek dengan angka penjualan sebesar 73.445 unit menguasai 51% pangsa pasar nasional, disusul Honda Supra series 33.969 unit, Honda Revo series 29.173 unit, dan Honda Blade sebanyak 10.303 unit.

“Kami akan tetap mengembangkan produk yang berkualitas dengan layanan purna jual terbaik di tengah tantangan industri sepeda motor saat ini,” ujarnya.

Deputy General Manager Astra Honda Motor (AHM) Thomas Wijaya said the growing sales of Honda CB150R StreetFire around 12,866 units and Honda Verza 150 as much as 10,295 units led to such growth in sport motorbike sale.

“The remaining sales of Honda sport motorbike were contributed by Honda MegaPro 5,760 units, Honda Tiger 1,147 units, and Honda CBR series 1,200 units,” he said in Jakarta, Sunday (5/12).

He said customers’ positive response toward Honda’s sport motorbikes could become a powerful boost for AHM to reach the target of sport motorbike market share, which is previously projected around 30%-40%.

Moreover, the data from Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI) shows the sales of AHM sport motorbike has exceeded the growth of national sales for similar motorbike type segment last year only grew by 51.3% from the achievement in April 2012.

AHM controlled 35% from the total sales of sport motorbike nationally last year, which were noted as much as 90,407 units.

Nationally, the sales of motorcycle in April 2013 grew only 6% to 660,509 units from 622.929 units in the same period a year earlier.

Meanwhile, the sales of all Honda variants reached 391,991 units in April this year. It grew by 13.8% above last year’s sales of 344,349 units, turning the sole agent as the leader of national market with 59.3% market share.

Thomas claimed that Honda still dominated the sales of motorcycle. In scooter segment, the company managed to sell 287,278 units so that it controlled 67.4% market share.

It was supported by the sales of Honda BeAT series with 161,586 units, Honda Vario series 104,329 units, Honda Scoopy 15,272 units, Honda Spacy 6,057 units, and Honda PCX150 premium scooter 34 units.

In underbone segment, Honda still controlled 51% of national market share after selling 73,445 units, followed by the sales of Honda Supra series 33,969 units, Honda Revo series 29,173 units, and Honda Blade 10,303 units.

“We will continue to develop high quality products with best after sale services amid the current challenges in motorcycle industry,” he said.
