Jakarta (B2B) - Penyerobot jalur sepeda di Kanal Banjir Timur (KBT) setelah 16 Desember akan dikenakan sanksi tilang. Tindakan tegas ini diterapkan, karena sosialisasi terkait jalur sepeda sudah berlangsung lama, sehingga dinilai sudah cukup bagi petugas untuk menerapkan sanksi tegas tersebut.

Kepala Suku Dinas Perhubungan Jakarta Timur, Mirza Aryadi menyesalkan masih banyak pengendara sepeda motor dan mobil yang belum sadar akan aturan tersebut. Mereka menyerobot jalur sepeda di KBT, tanpa memikirkan para pengguna sepeda di jalur khusus tersebut. Padahal, saat sosialisasi jalur sepeda digelar ada 10 petugas yang berjaga di setiap ujung koridor.

"Sosialisasi jalur sepeda di KBT sudah sering dilakukan. Nantinya setelah melewati tanggal 16 Desember tidak ada sosialisasi lagi. Jadi yang menyerobot jalur sepeda di KBT ini akan langsung ditilang petugas kepolisian," kata Mirza Aryadi.

Ketua Bike Two Work (BTW), Toto Sugito mengatakan, kampanye jalur sepeda di kawasan KBT akan terus dilakukan. Sebab, jalur sepeda masih diserobot pengendara sepeda motor dan mobil.

Kampanye ini juga melibatkan tim advokasi dan didukung oleh perwakilan kedutaan besar dari Norwegia dan Denmark. "Kita akan rutin kampanyekan jalur sepeda di KBT setiap bulan," tandasnya.

They trespass the lane without thinking of bicycle riders passing on it, whereas, in the popularization event, there were 10 officers guarding each side of the lane.

“Popularization of bicycle lane is often carried out. After December 16, there will be no popularization activity. Those trespassing the lane will be ticketed by police officer,” says Mirza.

Chair of Bike To Work (BTW), Toto Sugito, says that campaign on bicycle lane in the area will be done continuously because the lane is still trespassed by cars and motorcycles.

The campaign also involves advocacy team and is supported by representatives from Norwegian and Danish Embassies. “We will routinely campaign bicycle lane in the area each month,” he says.
