Mamuju, Sulbar [B2B] - Presiden Joko Widodo memberi sebuah hadiah berupa mobil listrik, yang bertujuan untuk mentransformasi cara belajar siswa di SMK Negeri 1 Rangas, Kabupaten Mamuju, Sulawesi Barat.
Presiden Jokowi menyampaikan kabar gembira tersebut di hadapan ratusan pelajar SMKN 1 Rangas. Ini bukan sekadar bantuan, melainkan simbol dari dorongan besar pemerintah dalam memajukan pendidikan vokasi dan teknologi di Indonesia.
“Tadi ada permintaan, karena di tempat praktik yang ada hanya mobil combustion, mobil yang manual lama, padahal sekarang sudah banyak dan zamannya mobil listrik sehingga perlu praktik juga isinya di dalam mobil listrik itu apa. Siang ini saya kirim mobil listrik untuk praktik, bukan untuk dikendarai,” ujar Jokowi disambut riuh tepuk tangan para siswa dan guru.
Sesuai janji Jokowi, siang itu, sebuah mobil listrik pun langsung dikirim dari Kota Makassar, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dan tiba sehari setelahnya. Mobil berteknologi ramah lingkungan itu diterima langsung oleh Kepala SMK Negeri 1 Rangas, Mahmud.
Kepala SMKN 1 Rangas pun berbagi rasa syukur atas bantuan ini. Menurutnya, selama ini sekolah yang dipimpinnya telah memiliki beberapa peralatan untuk praktik belajar para siswa. Namun, untuk mobil, para siswa terbatas hanya belajar mobil berteknologi transmisi manual.
"Alhamdulillah setelah kunjungan Bapak Presiden Republik Indonesia, beliau memberikan bantuan berupa satu unit mobil listrik yang insyaallah ke depannya akan digunakan siswa-siswa kita untuk praktik," ujarnya.
Siswa-siswa SMKN 1 Rangas, seperti Fadli dan Adrian, mengungkapkan kegembiraan mereka. Fadli, yang belum pernah melihat mobil listrik sebelumnya, merasa bahagia dan terinspirasi. Adrian menambahkan, "Ini menambah wawasan kami. Sebelumnya kami hanya praktik dengan mobil manual."
Arisa, pelajar lain dari SMKN 1 Rangas, mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Presiden. “Mobil ini sangat berguna bagi kami karena untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kami untuk masa depan nanti karena kemungkinan mobil listrik akan banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat.”
Inisiatif ini tidak hanya membuka jendela teknologi baru bagi siswa SMKN 1 Rangas, tapi juga menunjukkan pentingnya pendidikan yang responsif terhadap perkembangan zaman. Dengan hadiah mobil listrik ini, SMKN 1 Rangas kini menjadi bagian dari sekolah-sekolah di Indonesia yang siap menghadapi era baru transportasi yang berkelanjutan.
Presiden Jokowi, melalui tindakan ini, bukan hanya memperbaiki infrastruktur yang rusak, tetapi juga membangun fondasi yang kuat untuk pendidikan vokasi yang inovatif dan berkelanjutan. Langkah yang bukan untuk pertama kali dilakukan oleh Presiden Jokowi ini menegaskan komitmen pemerintah untuk terus meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan vokasi di berbagai daerah, termasuk di Mamuju.

"Earlier there was a request, because at the practice site there were only combustion cars, old manual cars, even though now there are lots of them and it´s the era of electric cars so we need to practice what´s inside an electric car. "This afternoon I sent an electric car for practice, not for driving," said Jokowi, greeted by loud applause from students and teachers.
As Jokowi promised, that afternoon, an electric car was immediately sent from Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province and arrived the day after. The car with environmentally friendly technology was received directly by the Head of Rangas 1 Vocational School, Mahmud.
The principal of SMKN 1 Rangas also shared his gratitude for this assistance. According to him, so far the school he leads has had several equipment for students´ learning practice. However, for cars, students are limited to only learning about cars with manual transmission technology.
"Thank God, after the visit of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, he provided assistance in the form of an electric car which God willing, in the future our students will use for practice," he said.
SMKN 1 Rangas students, such as Fadli and Adrian, expressed their joy. Fadli, who had never seen an electric car before, felt happy and inspired. Adrian added, "This broadens our knowledge. Previously we only practiced with manual cars."
Arisa, another student from SMKN 1 Rangas, expressed her thanks to the President. "This car is very useful for us because it increases our capabilities for the future because it is likely that electric cars will be widely used by society."
This initiative not only opens a new technological window for students at SMKN 1 Rangas, but also shows the importance of education that is responsive to current developments. With the gift of this electric car, SMKN 1 Rangas is now part of the schools in Indonesia that are ready to face the new era of sustainable transportation.
President Jokowi, through this action, is not only repairing damaged infrastructure, but also building a strong foundation for innovative and sustainable vocational education. This step, which is not the first time taken by President Jokowi, confirms the government´s commitment to continuing to improve the quality of vocational education in various regions, including in Mamuju.
