Jakarta (B2B) - Pelemahan nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar Amerika Serikat (AS) menyebabkan imported inflation. Namun, pemerintah menilai pengaruh tersebut tidak besar dalam inflasi umum selama ini.
Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), pergerakan inflasi inti sepanjang 2013 masih di bawah 0,5%. Pada Januari, inflasi inti hanya mencapai 0,36%, inflasi inti Febuari sebesar 0,30%, Maret sebesar 0,13%, April 0,14%, inflasi inti Mei 0,06% dan inflasi inti Juni 0,32%. Pada semester I (year to date) inflasi inti mencapai 1,32%. Inflasi ini lebih rendah dibandingkan inflasi harga yang diatur pemerintah 5,60% dan barang bergejolak 7,79%.
Bambang Brodjonegoro, Pelaksana Tugas (Plt) Badan Kebijakan Fiskal Kementerian Keuangan, mengatakan pelemahan nilai tukar yang terjadi dalam beberapa bulan terakhir mempengaruhi inflasi. Namun, pengaruhnya dalam struktur ekonomi Indonesia tidak signifikan.
Inflasi inti merupakan inflasi yang dipengaruhi oleh fundamental seperti interaksi permintaan-penawaran, lingkungan eksternal, yaitu nilai tukar, harga komoditas internasional, inflasi mitra dagang, serta ekspektasi inflasi dari pedagang dan konsumen.

Bambang Brodjonegoro, Acting Fiscal Policy Office Ministry of Finance, said the weakening of the exchange rate that occurred in recent months has influenced inflation. However, its influence on Indonesia's economic structure is not significant.
Core inflation is the inflation influenced by fundamentals such as demand-supply, interaction, and external environment, such as the exchange rate, international commodity prices, inflation in trading partners, as well as inflation expectations of traders and consumers.
