Jakarta (B2B) - Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia (Polri) mengungkap 26.561 kasus narkoba di seluruh Indonesia pada 2012. Jumlah kasusnya meningkat 0,23% dibandingkan 2011 yang mencapai 26.500 kasus, dengan jumlah tersangka mencapai 32.892 orang atau meningkat 0,39% dari 2011 sebanyak 32.763 orang.
Direktur Tindak Pidana Narkoba Badan Reserse dan Kriminal (Bareskrim) Markas Besar Polri, Brigjen Pol Arman Depari di Jakarta, Kamis, mengatakan jumlah kasus yang diungkap tersebut dari tingkat kepolisian sektor (Polsek) hingga Mabes Polri.
Jumlah kasus pada 2012 tersebut meningkat 0,23%dibanding 2011 yakni sebanyak 26.500 kasus.
"Sedangkan jumlah tersangka pada 2011 sebanyak 32.763 orang. Pada 2012 jumlah tersangka sebanyak 32.892 orang atau meningkat 0,39 persen," kata Arman.
Barang bukti yang berhasil disita oleh Polri secara kualitas maupun kuantitas terus meningkat terutama narkotika jenis ATS (Amphetamine Type Simultan) seperti ekstasi dan sabu, katanya.
Pada tahun 2012, Polisi berhasil menyita lebih dari 1.924.856,70 gram sabu, atau naik 343,65 persen bila dibandingkan tahun 2011 sebanyak 433.868,15 gram.
Sedangkan untuk ekstasi pada tahun 2012 sebanyak 2.835.324,80 butir meningkat 263,09% dibanding tahun 2011 sebanyak 780.885,25 butir.
"Beberapa waktu terakhir narkotika jenis ATS ini banyak diselundupkan baik melalui jalur laut maupun udara oleh jaringan sindikat sebagai perubahan modus operandi, yang tadinya laboratorium gelap narkoba," kata Arman.
Selain itu, Polri mencatat, home industry atau kitchen lab untuk produksi narkoba banyak bermunculan antara 2010-2011, namun hampir seluruhnya dapat diungkap oleh polisi.
