Staple Food Prices in Jakarta Predicted to Raise Next Month

Jakarta (B2B) - Seiring pemberlakuan peraturan baru berupa pengenaan Pajak Pertambahan Nilai (PPN) sebesar 10% terhadap hasil pertanian untuk bahan baku makanan dan minuman serta pembatasan pembelian solar bersubsidi maka harga bahan pokok bulan depan diprediksi merangkak naik.
Pasalnya, selama ini pengusaha sudah mengeluarkan sekitar 5% hingga 8% biaya dari beban usaha. Dari angka tersebut, hampir 50% dipakai untuk pembelian bahan bakar minyak (BBM). Jika terjadi pembatasan terhadap BBM bersubsidi, maka ada kemungkinan pelaku usaha akan mendongrak harga jual kebutuhan pokok.
Kepala Suku Dinas Koperasi Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah Perdagangan (KUMKMP) Jakarta Barat, Slamet Widodo menuturkan, harga kebutuhan pokok diprediksi terus naik bulan depan. Apalagi pelaku usaha dalam menentukan harga jual memiliki banyak pertimbangan, salah satunya membandingkan harga jual dengan biaya produksi.
"Kemungkinan memang naik. Kita tahu pengusaha pasti menghitung secara cermat dengan membandingkan harga jual dengan biaya produksi," kata Slamet, belum lama ini.
Terkait besaran kenaikan harga bahan pokok, kata Slamet, akan ditentukan oleh mekanisme pasar, yaitu berapa permintaan dan penawaran yang dibutuhkan masyarakat. "Jika terjadi kenaikan harga, besarnya akan ditentukan oleh mekanisme pasar sesuai dengan supply and demand dari masyarakat," tukasnya.
Diakui Slamet, pihaknya hanya bertugas memantau dan mengawasi perkembangan harga di pasar. Sementara untuk kebijakan menentukan harga berdasarkan inflasi dan pemberian subsidi itu adalah kebijakan dari pemerintah pusat.

Moreover entrepreneurs have many considerations in determining the selling price, like compares it with production cost.
"Staple price is probably rising. We know entrepreneurs surely do calculation in detail by comparing the selling price with production costs," he exclaimed, recently.
Related to the amount of price hike on staple food, he explained, will be set by market mechanisms, that is how much supply and demand required by the people. "If there is a price hike, the amount will be set by the market mechanism in accordance with people's supply and demand," he said.
Widodo acknowledged his sub-department is only responsible for monitoring and overseeing the development of prices in the market. As for the policy set prices based on inflation and subsidy, is the authority of the central government.
