Solo (B2B) - Sebanyak 49 bank perkreditan rakyat (BPR) dan satu bank umum terpaksa ditutup selama periode 2006-2013 karena berbagai masalah, kata Kepala Bagian Kesekretariatan Lembaga Penjaminan Simpanan (LPS) Budi Joyo Sentoso.

Kepada pers di Solo, semalam, Budi Joyo mengemukakan BPR dan bank umum yang ditutup tersebut tersebar di berbagai daerah di Tanah Air dan khusus di Surakarta ada tiga BPR yang ditutup.

Mengenai simpanan uang nasabah yang telah dibayar menyusul penutupan BPR dan bank itu tercatat sebanyak Rp 644,52 miliar. "Simpanan nasabah yang layak dibayar itu diantaranya dengan syarat tercatat dalam simpanan bank, tidak punya kredit macet," ujarnya.

Dikatakan, saat ini tercatat bank umum sebanyak 120 dan BPR/BPPRS 1.837 dengan uang simpanan sampai 31 Desember 2012 ada Rp 49,61 triliun, seperti dilansir republika.co.id.
