Presiden IOI, I Made Dana Tangkas mengatakan saat ini sumber daya manusia (SDM) Indonesia masih tertinggal dari negara tetangga seperti Malaysia, Thailand dan Filipina, karena itu Ibima hadir untuk mendukung pengembangan SDM melalui pendidikan vokasional, teaching factory sebagai tempat uji kompetensi dan sertifikasi.

"Ibima didirikan sebagai institusi yang merupakan oksigen, katalisator, dan dinamisator untuk membangun the best Indonesia industry dan business way, khususnya meningkatkan kinerja bisnis dan industri manufaktur Indonesia berkelas dunia," kata I Made Dana Tangkas kepada pers di Jakarta, Kamis (30/8) pada peluncuran ´program magister industri´ dari Ibima.

Menurutnya, Ibima dibentuk dari kolaborasi, konsorsium dan dukungan berbagai pihak seperti pelaku pendidikan, bisnis dan industri, pembuat kebijakan, komunitas dan asosiasi.

Ibima mengusung tagline ´membangun industri berdikari dan sejahtera´ yang tujuannya untuk berperan aktif dalam tiga misi utama yakni penguatan paradigma kewirausahaan, peningkatan kompetensi dan budaya industri, dan mengembangkan kepemimpinan.

"Visi Ibima adalah menjadikan institusi mandiri non-partisan yang memberdayakan insan bisnis dan industri menuju industri nasional yang berdikari dan sejahtera. Ibima mengambil peran strategis dalam upaya meningkatkan produk domestik bruto dari sektor industri menuju Indonesia Hebat 2035," kata I Made Dana Tangkas.

President of IOI, I Made Dana Tangkas said that currently the quality of Indonesian human resources is still lagging behind Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines, because of that Ibima aims to support the development of vocational education, and teaching factory.

"Ibima was established as an institution that is oxygen, catalyst, and dynamic to develop the best Indonesian industry and business way, specifically improving the performance of world-class Indonesian businesses and manufacturing industries," Mr Tangkas told reporters here on Thursday (August 30).

According to him, the Ibima was established of collaboration, consortium and support of various parties such as education leaders, business and industry, policy makers, communities and associations.

Ibima carries the tagline ´building a self-sufficient and prosperous industry´ whose purpose is to play an active role in three main missions namely strengthening the entrepreneurial paradigm, increasing competence and industrial culture, and developing leadership.

"Ibima´s vision is to make non-partisan independent institutions that empower business and industry people towards a self-sufficient and prosperous national industry. Ibima takes a strategic role in efforts to increase gross domestic product of the industrial sector," Mr Tangkas said.
