Jakarta (B2B) - Forum ukhuwah Majelis Ulama Indonesia dan ormas-ormas Islam tingkat pusat mengecam keras penculikan atas sejumlah pelajar wanita oleh kelompok Boko Haram di Negeria.

"Kami mengecam keras aksi tersebut," kata Ketua Umum al-Irsyad al-Islamiyah Abdullah Zaidi yang mewakili ormas Islam di kantor Majelis Ulama Indonesia, di Jakarta, Senin.

Abdullah mengatakan tindakan tersebut sejatinya bertentangan dengan prinsip Islam.

"Tindakan tersebut bertentangan dengan prinsip Islam yang melarang segala bentuk tindak kekerasan khususnya terhadap kaum wanita dan mereka yang tidak bersalah," ujar Abdullah.

"Kami meminta kepada kelompok Boko Haram untuk melepas mereka tanpa syarat," tambahnya.

Kelompok garis keras di Nigeria, Boko Haram, melakukan serangan pembunuhan secara brutal seperti mengebom, membantai, dan menculik. Kekerasan demi kekerasan mereka lakukan yang kerap dilakukan di tempat umum yang ramai.

Sebanyak 270 siswi perempuan diculik pada 14 April lalu dan 53 di antaranya berhasil melarikan diri setelah ditangkap di Kota Chibok, Nigeria.

Sejumlah tokoh dan politisi di berbagai negara di dunia pun turut mengecam aksi tersebut.

Sementara itu Presiden Barack Obama mengirimkan tim termasuk para pakar terkait dan personel militer AS untuk membantu membebaskan korban.

Sedangkan Michelle memuat fotonya yang sedang memegang kertas putih dengan tulisan #BringBackOurGirls yang juga diikuti sejumlah selebritis dunia serta publik di sejumlah negara yang turun ke jalan membentangkan spanduk tersebut.

Jakarta (B2B) - The Indonesian Ulemas Council (MUI) and several centers of the Muslim civil society organizations (CSOs) have condemned the kidnapping of several female students by the Boko Haram group in Nigeria.

"We condemn the act," Chairman of al-Irsyad al-Islamiyah Abdullah Zaidi, who is the representative of the Muslim CSOs in the office of the MUI, said here on Monday.

Abdullah said the Boko Haram action is contrary to the principles of Islam.

"The act is contrary to the principles of Islam which forbids all forms of violence, especially against women and those who are innocent," Abdullah added.

He noted that the CSOs called on Boko Haram to release the hostages unconditionally.

The extremist group Boko Haram had carried out several attacks, such as bombing, brutal murders, slaughter and kidnapping. They had committed those acts in crowded public places.

A total of 270 female students were abducted on April 14. Fifty three of them managed to escape after being kidnapped in Chibok City, Nigeria.

Public figures and politicians in many countries around the world have also condemned the act.

Meanwhile, President Barack Obama sent a team, including relevant experts and U.S. military personnel, to help release the victims.

While Michelle Obama uploaded her picture holding a white paper with the inscription #BringBackOurGirls, which was followed by celebrities and the public in several countries to demonstrate their condemnation of the Boko Haram act.
