Pimpinan MPR Ditunda Pemilihannya Hingga Selasa

Jakarta (B2B) - Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat (MPR) RI menunda rapat paripurna pemilihan pimpinannya untuk periode 2014-2019 yang semula dijadwalkan pada Senin mulai pukul 19.30 WIB menjadi Selasa mulai pukul 10.00 WIB.
Anggota DPR RI dari Fraksi PDI Perjuangan, Arya Bima, mengatakan, penundaan rapat paripurna tersebut karena permintaan DPD RI akan memutuskan satu nama untuk diusulkan pada dia paket calon pimpinan MPR RI.
Sebanyak 10 fraksi di DPR RI akan mengusulkan dua paket calon pimpinan MPR RI yakni paket yang diusulkan oleh anggota Koalisi Merah Putih (KMP) serta paket yang akan diusulkan oleh anggota Koalisi
Indonesia Hebat (KIH).
Sementara itu, DPD RI pada rapat paripurna, Rabu (1/10), mengusulkan sembilan nama untuk dipilih oleh dua kekuatan di DPR RI.
Menurut Arya Bima, karena DPD RI meminta penundaan hingga Selasa, maka 10 fraksi di DPR RI menentukan sikap apakah pemilihan paket calon pimpinan MPR RI tetap dilakukan pada Senin malam ini atau ditunda hingga Selasa (7/10).
Dari penentukan sikap tersebut, kata dia, hanya empat fraksi dari KMP yang tetap meminta rapat paripurna pada malam ini, yakni Fraksi Partai Golkar (FPG), Fraksi Gerindra, Fraksi Partai Demokrat (FPD), serta Fraksi Partai Amanat Nasional (FPAN).
Dua fraksi anggota KMP memilih mengikuti fraksi-fraksi dari KUH untuk ditunda hingga selasa, yakni Fraksi Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (FPKS) dan Fraksi Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (FPPP).
Sedangkan, empat fraksi anggota KIH yang menyetujui penundaan adalah, Fraksi PDI Perjuangan, Fraksi Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (FPKB), Fraksi Partai Nasional Demokrat (FNasDem), Fraksi Partai Hanura.
Jakarta (B2B) - The Indonesian Peoples Consultative Assembly (MPR), comprising members of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representatives Council (DPD), has decided to postpone the election of its leadership to Tuesday (October 7).
A member of the Indonesia Democratic Party Struggle (PDIP) faction in the DPR, Arya Bima, said here on Monday that the decision was made upon the request of the DPD, which has yet to nominate a candidate for the MPR leadership.
The 10 factions in the DPR will propose two packages of candidates---one from the Red-White coalition (KMP) and one from the Great Indonesia faction (KIH).
In a meeting last Wednesday (October 1), the DPD had proposed the names of nine candidates to be chosen by the two coalitions.
Bima further stated that six factions had agreed to the DPDs request for postponement, while four were against it.
The six factions that were in favor of the postponement were the PDIP, the National Awakening Party (PKB), the National Democratic Party (Nasdem), the Peoples Conscience Party (Hanura), the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and the United Development Party (PPP). They are all members of the KIH, with the exception of PKS and PPP.
The four that were against the postponement were the Golkar Party, the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), the Democratic Party (PD) and the National Mandate Party (PAN), all members of the KMP coalition.
