Jakarta (B2B) - Juru bicara Partai Demokrat, Ruhut Sitompul, mengatakan bahwa Ketua Umum Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono sudah mengambil sikap tentang keputusan Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat memasukkan revisi Undang-Undang KPK ke dalam Program Legislasi Nasional 2015.

"Tapi, beliau berpesan, 'save KPK'. KPK masih diperlukan dan dicintai rakyat," kata Ruhut kepada wartawan di Kompleks Parlemen Senayan, Jakarta, Rabu, 24 Juni 2015.

Ruhut mengatakan SBY menilai Undang-Undang KPK sampai saat ini masih baik untuk diterapkan. Namun presiden keenam itu mengaku setuju usul parlemen melakukan revisi demi mengawasi kinerja KPK saat menyadap dan tidak menerbitkan surat perintah penghentian penyidikan atau SP3.

"Tapi, kalau ingin menghapus kewenangan KPK menyadap dan tak terbitkan SP3, kami tidak setuju itu diganggu," ujar Ruhut.

DPR akhirnya memasukkan revisi Undang-Undang KPK dalam Program Legislasi Nasional 2015. Keputusan ini diambil dalam Rapat Paripurna DPR, Selasa sore, 23 Juni 2015. Sebanyak 315 anggota Dewan menyatakan setuju dengan keputusan revisi.

Jakarta (B2B) - Indonesia's Democrat Party has taken a stance on the parliament decision to include the Anti-graft Commission Law revision in the National Legislation Program discussion.

The party spokesman Ruhut Sitompul qouted that Democrat Party chairman, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has taken a stance on the House of Representative's.

"He said 'save KPK because still love needed by the people," said Yudhoyono as quoted by Mr Sitompul
in the parliament building here on Wednesday.

Mr Sitompul added, Yudhoyono who also as former of Indonesian President said the KPK Law is still relevant. However, Yudhoyono assess the law needs to be revised so that the antigraft body's performances can be monitored—particularly when wiretapping and bugging government officials or other parties.

"But we disagree if eliminates KPK's authorities and stopped the issuance of Investigation Termination Warrants," Mr Sitompul said.

The Indonesian parliament has greed to include the revision of Law No.30/2002 on the Anti-graft Commission in the National Legislation Program for 2015. The decision was made in a plenary meeting and the total of 315 members of parliament who attended the meeting agreed with the decision.
