Jakarta (B2B) - Gubernur Jawa Timur, Soekarwo dan Walikota Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini dipanggil Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) untuk membahas penyelesaian kekisruhan di Kebon Binatang Surabaya (KBS).
"Saya undang ke sini, untuk bicarakan pengelolaan kebun binatang di Surabaya, saya sudah dapat informasi, ambil policy dan langkah, memang ada kompleksitas tertentu, solusi bisa kita tempuh siapa berbuat apa dan baiknya bagaimana. Yang jadi kepedulian masyarakat bisa dijawab dengan jalan keluar dan tindakan yang tepat," kata Presiden saat memimpin rapat terbatas tersebut.
Presiden mengharapkan masalah itu dapat segera diatasi. "Intinya ada masalah mari kita cari solusi dengan baik dan nanti jelaskan ke masyarakat, selalu ada jalan keluar," kata Presiden.
Selain Gubernur Jawa Timur, Walikota Surabaya, rapat juga dihadiri oleh Menteri Kehutanan Zulkifli Hasan dan sejumlah pejabat lainnya.
Jakarta (B2B) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono summoned East Java Governor Soekarwo and Surabaya Mayor Tri Rismaharani to discuss the problem being faced by the Surabaya Zoo (KBS).
"I have summoned them to here to discuss the KBS. I have been informed of the zoo problem. Policies must be laid down and steps must be taken. There might be certain complexities involved but we should find the best solution. We should address public concerns with the right actions and find a solution," the President explained when chairing a special cabinet meeting here on Tuesday.
President Yudhoyono expressed hope that the zoo problem will be resolved immediately. "The point here is that there is a problem. Lets find solutions and then explain to the people. There is always a way out."
Besides, the East Java governor and the Surabaya mayor, the meeting was also attended by Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan and other state officials.
