Jakarta (B2B) - Lembaga Klimatologi Politik (LPK) melakukan survei elektabilitas kandidat capres 2014. Hasil survei cukup mengejutkan, karena publik masih berminat terhadap calon presiden yang berlatar belakang militer.

Chief Executive Officer LKP Usman Rachman menjelaskan, saat ditanyakan kepada responden, apakah presiden RI mendatang sebaiknya berasal dari kalangan TNI atau sipil? Ternyata 40,5% responden lebih menghendaki tokoh berlatar belakang TNI. 

Sementara itu, yang menginginkan tokoh sipil sebanyak 21,4%. Adapun 27,3% responden tidak mempermasalahkan apakah capres 2014-2019 nanti berasal dari kalangan TNI atau sipil, Kemudian 10,8% responden menjawab tidak tahu.

"Kenapa tokoh militer masih diminati? Ini semua tidak lepas dengan kondisi sosial politik Indonesia akhir-akhir ini. Selain itu, pasangan calon presiden dari TNI dan calon wakil presiden dari kalangan sipil mendapatkan suara 35,5% responden. Sedangkan calon presiden dari kalangan sipil berpasangan dengan calon wakil presiden dari TNI hanya dipilih 14,7% responden. Yang tidak mempermasalahkan komposisi TNI/Sipil sebesar 22,2%.

Survei ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 20-30 Maret 2013 di 33 provinsi dengan mengambil sampel sebanyak 1.225 responden melalui teknik multistage random sampling. 

Ambang kesalahan (margin of error) dari survei ini yakni +/- 2,8% dan level of confidence 95%. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara tatap muka dengan responden dan bantuan kuesioner.
