Jakarta (B2B) - Lembaga riset Nielsen mengungkapkan konsumen Indonesia mengkhawatirkan stabilitas politik spade kuartal ke-3 tahun 2013.

Jakarta (B2B) -  Report from the Nielsen Company showed that in the 3rd quarter of 2013, Indonesian consumers are worried about the political stability. In the Consumer´s Trust and Spending Intention global survey, political issues is one of the third biggest sources of fear among Indonesian consumers.

Managing Director of Indonesian Nielsen, Catherine Eddy, said that the worry about political stability is triggered by the upcoming general election next year. In the previous quarter, the highest fear among consumers was caused by the rising price of subsidized oil.

"We can see the increasing worry about political stability. It´s very likely that it is the response to next year´s presidential election that is getting nearer," she said in a written statement on Saturday (2/11).

However, Catherine also said that Indonesian consumers have a strong resilience in facing the challenges and can quickly adjust to the situation.

The Nielsen Global Survey of Consumer Confidence and Spending Intentions was carried out on August 14 to September 6, 2014 and surveyed more than 30,000 online consumers in 60 countries in Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and North America. The Nielsen Survey was only done based on the respondents´ confirmation with online access.
