Jakarta (B2B) - Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) kini dapat mengakses data perusahaan yang terdaftar di Kementerian Hukum dan HAM setelah penandatanganan perjanjian kerjasama di Jakarta, Jumat.

"Pihak KPK kini dapat akses langsung ke data perusahaan yang terdaftar di Direktorat Jenderal Administrasi Hukum Umum," kata  Direktur Jenderal Administrasi Hukum Umum Kementerian Hukum dan HAM, Aidir Amin Daud di gedung KPK, Jumat.

Dia mengatakan, kerja sama tersebut merupakan bagian dari upaya membantu KPK memeriksa kebenaran data dan memberantas korupsi.

"Kami telah memberikan password ke KPK agar pejabat berwenang di KPK dapat mengakses pelayanan data setiap saat," katanya seraya menambahkan "ada lebih 500 ribu data perusahaan yang terdaftar di Indonesia."

Sebelum perjanjian ditandatangani, KPK harus mengikuti prosedur untuk mengakses data perusahaan di kementerian tersebut.

Deputi Pencegahan KPK Iswan Helmi mengatakan penandatangan kerja sama dimaksudkan untuk mencegah masalah dalam kasus perubahan personil perusahaan.

Dia mengatakan kerja sama ini berguna baik untuk tujuan pencegahan maupun penegakan hukum.

"Untuk tujuan penegakan dapat digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data sementara sedangkan untuk tujuan pencegahan itu bisa digunakan untuk memverifikasi laporan kekayaan pejabat negara," jelasnya.

Helmy mengatakan ia percaya pada validitas data yang ´telah diverifikasi oleh Direktorat Hukum Umum."

Jakarta (B2B) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) may now access data of companies registered with the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights following the signing of a cooperation agreement here on Friday.

"Colleagues from KPK can now access directly at anytime data about companies registered with the ministry`s Directorate of Administration of General Laws," the Director Deneral of Administration of General Laws, Aidir Amin Daud, said at the KPK Building here on Friday.

He said the cooperation was part of efforts in helping KPK check the truth of data and eradicate corruption.

"We have given the password to KPK so that authorized KPK officials could access physical data at the ministry at any time," he said adding "there are more than 500,000 data of registered companies in Indonesia."

Before the agreement was signed KPK has to write to the ministry when it wishes to access data of companies in the office.

KPK deputy for prevention Iswan Helmi meanwhile said the signing of the cooperation is intended to prevent problems in case changes of personnel happen in the offices.

He said the cooperation is useful for both prevention or enforcement purposes.

"For an enforcement purpose it can be used to collect provisional data while for a prevention purpose it could be used for verifying of reports of state officials` wealth," he explained.

Helmy said he believed in the validity of the data adding "the data has been verified by the Directorate of General Laws."
