FPI, Pemerintah Pastikan Terdaftar Sebagai Ormas di Kemendagri

Jakarta (B2B) - Pemerintah memastikan bahwa Front Pembela Islam (FPI) terdaftar sebagai organisasi kemasyarakatan (Ormas) di Direktorat Jenderal Kesatuan Bangsa dan Politik Kementerian Dalam Negeri.
Menteri Dalam Negeri Gamawan Fauzi mengatakan FPI sudah terdaftar sebagai Ormas di Kementerian Dalam Negeri. "Sudah terdaftar, sudah ormas," kata Gamawan di kantor Kepresidenan, Jakarta, Kamis (25/7).
Sebelumnya, Sekretaris Kabinet Dipo Alam menyebut FPI tidak terdaftar sebagai organisasi masyarakat, melainkan hanya tempat berkumpul. "Yang jelas FPI belum terdaftar sebagai ormas di Direktorat Jenderal Kesatuan Bangsa dan Politik," kata Dipo di kantor Kepresidenan, Rabu kemarin, 24 Juli 2013.
Karena status FPI bukan ormas, Dipo pun menyatakan sulit membekukan lembaga tersebut meskipun ada desakan masyarakat. "Menurut Menteri Dalam Negeri belum terdaftar sebagai ormas, apa yang mau dibekukan?" kata Dipo.
Jakarta (B2B) - The government has confirmed that the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) is listed as a Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) at the Directorate General of Political and National Unity of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA).
Minister of Home Affairs (MoHA) Gamawan Fauzi said the FPI was registered as CSOs in the Interior Ministry. "[FPI] is listed as community organization," said Gamawan at the presidential office in Jakarta on Thursday (25/7).
Earlier, Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam had claimed that FPI was not listed as community organization but a mere gathering forum. "FPI is not listed as community organization at the Political and National Unity Directorate General," said Dipo at the presidential office on Wednesday, July 24.
Due to the lack of established ´status´, Dipo said that it is difficult to dismiss the organization despite the pressure from the community. "Home Affairs Minister said that [FPI] are not registered as a community organization. What´s there to suspend?" asked Dipo.
