Bandung of West Java [B2B] - President Joko Widodo [Jokowi] emphasized the government's commitment to continue to oversee the election stages so that they run well. This was conveyed by the President in response to a question regarding the decision of the Central Jakarta District Court [PN] regarding the postponement of the General Election.

"I have conveyed back and forth the government's commitment to this election stage going well, the preparation of the budget has also been well prepared," the President said in his statement to the media crew at the Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School, Bandung Regency, West Java, Monday [6/ 3].

The President considered that the decision raised pros and cons in society. The President explicitly stated that the government supports the General Elections Commission [KPU] in submitting an appeal.

"We hope the stages of the election will continue and indeed it is a controversy that raises pros and cons, but also the government supports the KPU to appeal," he said.

Previously, the Central Jakarta District Court issued a decision on Thursday [2/3] to postpone the elections based on the follow-up to the Prima Party's lawsuit against the KPU on December 8, 2022.
