Jakarta (B2B) - Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Ketua Umum Partai Demokrat menyatakan menghormati hasil hitung cepat dalam pemilu legislatif 2014 yang menempatkan PD pada posisi keempat perolehan suara dan menyelamati tiga partai yang berdasarkan hitung cepat berada di atas Demokrat,
"Berkaitan dengan hasil perhitungan cepat ini dengan keyakinan dan asumsi angka ini tidak berbeda jauh dengan perhitungan resmi nanti, kami menerima suara yang Partai Demokrat dapatkan sungguh pun suara kami tidak tinggi tapi kami menerima dan tidak ada pikiran terjadi kecurangan," kata kepada pers di Cikeas, Rabu malam.
Ia juga menyampaikan terima kasih pada penyelenggara pemilu atas pelaksanaan pemungutan suara dan penghitungan suara yang berjalan dengan baik.
"Atas nama Partai Demokrat ucapkan selamat pada parpol yang relatif tinggi (perolehan suaranya) kepada PDIP, Partai Golkar dan Gerindra. Melalui mimbar ini saya sampaikan pada para kader Demokrat untuk terima hasil pungutan suara dengan lapang dada," kata Yudhoyono.
Yudhoyono mengajak semua komponen partai untuk bisa berbesar hati menerima hasil hitung cepat tersebut seraya mempersiapkan langkah berikutnya menuju lima tahun mendatang.
Jakarta (B2B) - Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Democrat Party (PD) Chairman said that he respected the results of credible pollsters' quick counts on legislative election, which put his party in the fourth place.
"With a belief and assumption that the results of quick vote counts will not be so different from the outcome of the real vote count, we accept the Democrat Party's gain," he told a press conference at his home here on Wednesday.
Despite the fact that PDs vote gain in the quick vote counts was not high, he said he could accept it and believe that there were no election frauds in the parliamentary election.
Yudhoyono, who is also incumbent president, also called on his party's cadres and supporters throughout the country to accept the fact and prepare for the best in the 2019 parliamentary election.
"On the behalf of the Democrat Party, I congratulate the Indonesian Democratic Party-Struggle (PDIP), Golkar Party and Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) on their success in gaining relatively higher votes," he said.
Yudhoyono also thanked the General Election Commission (KPU) and those involving in organizing the voting process and later counting the votes for their high dedication for the nation.
